Improveit Home Remodeling Residential Remodeling Project Manager / Measure Technician in Cincinnati, Ohio

Position Overview This position plays a key part of delivering on our promise of a 5-star experience and interacts directly with customers. The Project Manager works in the field performing Project Scope Reviews and obtaining measurements for new installations.  The Project Manager acts as a liaison between sales and the customer, ensuring we can install what was sold and taking accurate measurements to ensure error-free product and materials procurement. Holds the appropriate amount of concern and focus regarding being on time for each appointment and completing four to six appointments per day, on average.

Essential Job Functions

  • Conducting professional in-home project scope reviews with new customers.

  • Taking accurate measurements for new bathroom remodeling projects.

  • Taking accurate window measurements for new window projects, as a back-up to 5-Star Service Technicians.

  • Reviewing and documenting the contract, expectations, installation timelines, and field measurements for product ordering.

  • Identifying, documenting, and resolving any product or installation related issues for ordering and installation success

  • Troubleshooting jobs with Sales and Dept Manager as needed to meet customer’s expectations and ensure an error-free project.

  • Attending sales and production management meetings, as necessary.

  • Providing excellent customer service during in-home visits.

  • Taking clear project photos, uploading them to CompanyCam, and tagging them accurately.

  • Performing Quality Control Audits:

  • Being an Ambassador of IHR and a 5-Star customer experience.

  • Conducting inspections of jobs in progress and ensuring IHR standards are met. 

  • Getting customer feedback, ensuring their expectations are being met, and answering any questions.

  • Preparing Installer Progress Reports and providing managers feedback on strength and weakness of crew skill sets to assist in the development of continued technical, soft skills, and optimal customer interaction development plans.

  • Ensuring our Crews are “on brand” (wearing our apparel, representing the company well)

  • Evaluating whether we are installing to IHR Technical Specifications.

  • Preparing customer for survey’s and/or getting them, if possible.

  • Asking customer for referrals.

  • Verifying IHR signs are on customer’s lawn.

  • Performing Proximity Marketing activities, such as leaving our brochures, door hangers and promotional materials at neighboring houses around the jobsite.

  • Using devices, such as an Ipad and smartphone.

  • Using a variety of ladders and tools to perform Project Scope Reviews and measures.   

  • Driving company vehicle to and from job sites.

  • Wearing IHR apparel and maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor always.

  • Working on-call for evening /weekend emergencies as needed.

    Required Skills:

  • General knowledge of residential construction and basic home improvement and maintenance

  • Strong understanding of all Improveit Products and associated features and options

  • Ability to accurately take measurements and translate those into a variety of applications.

  • Strong verbal communications skills (English literacy)

  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing workloads.

  • Familiarity with Ipad usage, mobile smart phones, and business/technology applications.

  • Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on quality and results. 

  • Ability to maintain a preset schedule of job assignments.

  • Well-organized and on-time to each appointment, without exception.

  • Self-starter, efficient, productive, works well with a team.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

    Qualifications/Education:

  • 2-3 years proven field service work service

  • 2-3 years of experience in the building/construction industry
