Randstad Pinellas is currently recruiting for a Buyer/Planner opportunity at a manufacturing company in Clearwater, FL. It is a fast-paced environment with a professional team.

Position is in Clearwater, FL.

M-F 8am-5pm $50,000-$70,000/yr

Candidates must have at least 3 years buyer/planner experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Manage procurement process, inventory levels, & production schedules to meet customer demand while ensuring efficient material flow

• Procurement: Source & negotiate w/ suppliers for favorable terms, prices, & delivery schedules. Issue purchase orders & monitor supplier performance to address any issues.

• Inventory Management: Analyze demand trends to maintain optimal stock levels, implement inventory control strategies, & prevent stockouts or excess inventory. Coordinate w/ teams to address slow-moving items

• Production Planning: Collaborate w/ production teams to create schedules that align w/ demand. Ensure raw materials are available to meet production goals, adjust plans as necessary

• Supplier Relationship Management: Build relationships w/ suppliers, ensue accurate lead times, resolve issues, & stay informed on market trends.

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze procurement, inventory, & production data, provide regular reports on KPI's to guide decision-making

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost savings & process enhancements. Work w/ cross-functional teams to implement efficiency initiatives.

• Logistics: Oversee inbound/outbound logistics operations, resolving transportation & customer issues

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field

• Experience in procurement, inventory management, or production planning

• Analytical, communication, & negotiation skills

• Detail-oriented, with organizational & teamwork abilities
