Position: Controls Design Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Controls Design Engineer to become a part of our innovative team based in Clearwater, FL. Our facility specializes in providing control panel solutions and services to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a robust engineering expertise, experience in the Manufacturing/Electrical sector, and a commitment to excellence. This role involves the design, architecture, and commissioning of cutting-edge automation control systems that integrate seamlessly into complex industrial settings and adhere to UL 508a standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, and commission advanced automation control systems.

• Ensure all designs meet UL 508a standards.

• Program PLCs and develop HMI interfaces.

• Perform root cause analysis and project estimation.

• Execute control design and electrical design tasks.

• Utilize AutoCAD for design and documentation purposes.

• Develop firmware and logic controllers.

• Conduct electrical diagnostics and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Fabricate automation components and relay designs.

• Continuously self-educate and rehabilitate a variety of machines.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of practical experience in designing and implementing automation control systems.

• Proficiency in PLCs, SCADA systems, industrial communication protocols, HMI, Root Cause Analysis, and AutoCAD.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with electrical diagnostic tools.

• Solid understanding of system design principles.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
