Benefits Start after 30 days of employment Recruiter: Quentin Chavis Jr. / 346-459-4397 / quentin.chavisjr@airgas.com Job Description Summary: This position will be the lead in the deployment of Air Liquide's global corporate 'Energy Flex Capture' program within Airgas Merchant Gases (AMG's) Energy team by working to support AMG's Smart Innovative Operations (SIO), Supply Chain and Distribution and Logistics (D&L) teams located in Independence, Ohio to reduce power costs through a variety of load management programs at AMG plants across North America. Also ensure that the organization is leveraging the terms of the energy contracts to bring the maximum value. Participate with global energy teams on the deployment of the 'energy flex capture' program. Lead the deployment of those processes within Airgas to ensure energy operations align with the global expectations of the program. Require ability to assist in the development of documentation of processes and communication of them to all stakeholders. Monitor individual plant operations and poses understanding of operational characteristics and energy consumption patterns to: Establish and track energy use efficiency targets Establish and track KPI performance targets for energy reduction to offset capacity, transmission and other fixed cost energy charges based on time sensitive use. Implement maximum potential participation in load control and other "demand response" opportunities by working with various AMG stakeholders, e.g. plants, D&L, and SIO and Senior Management. While still meeting operational constraints, ensure that the terms of the energy contract are being fully leveraged to reduce the overall power cost at primary production facilities. Maintain and improve systems to track electrical system (utility, ISO, etc.) load and cost information for KPI purposes: Asist in the analysis of market data to evaluate price risk mitigation through hedging vs load management. Develop understanding of: ISO operations and cost drivers. Issues that impact Airgas cost at the ISO level and alternative approaches to mitigate cost increase for Airgas and others. Assist in decarbonization efforts: load management, procurement strategy, ECO-ORIGIN sales support, carbon accounting and reporting and REC retirement __Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Data Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related degree. Previous experience in energy trading or analytics; must have interest in industrial energy management Previous experience in data management, or manufacturing operations, or "end to end" integrated supply chains Comfortable with basic concepts in statistics (normal distributions, expected value, standard deviation, linear regression modeling) and business analytics (variable vs fixed costs, budgeting, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting on deviations and trends) Previous experience with SAP Prefer
