What does a Housing Stability Specialist do?

As a new Housing Stability Specialist at EDEN, you will engage in a variety of daily responsibilities aimed at providing essential support to clients in Cleveland. Your day will involve conducting client assessments, developing personalized housing plans, and connecting individuals to resources and services that facilitate long-term stability. You will work collaboratively with community organizations and stakeholders to foster ongoing partnerships. Expect to maintain a client-centric approach, prioritizing empathy and communication while addressing clients' unique needs. Daily tasks may also include documenting case notes, tracking progress, and reporting outcomes to ensure effective service delivery.

You can anticipate a structured schedule fromĀ Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while you contribute to meaningful change in the community. Your role will cultivate a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation, contributing to the overall mission of EDEN Inc.

To excel as a Housing Stability Specialist at EDEN, candidates must possess a unique set of skills and qualifications. A high school diploma or equivalent, along with three years of experience in homeless and housing services, is essential. A bachelor's degree is preferred, showcasing your commitment to the field. A valid Ohio driver's license with 4 points or less and proof of insurance are required, as you will use your reliable personal vehicle for work-related transportation. Familiarity with software tools to manage client information and case documentation is crucial for effective service delivery.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills will empower you to build trust with clients and collaborate with community partners. Additionally, certification in Housing Quality Standards (HQS) is preferred, enhancing your ability to uphold housing excellence and safety standards. Your empathetic and problem-solving mindset will be key to driving success in this impactful role.
