Position: Materials Estimator- Reports to Director of Global Supply Chain & Sourcing

On-Site Position: Spartronics in Strongsville, OH

This is a Full-time position; 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday in office.

At Spartronics, the Corporate Materials Estimator provides accurate, competitive and detailed material quotes based on Customer documentation requirements. This position is part of the centralized quoting team for our manufacturing sites.

What a Day Looks Like:

  • Quotes materials using customers provided data inputs that include materials Bill of Materials (BOM) approved manufactures list, custom design specifications, testing requirements scope of work data package
  • Support and coordinate entire material quoting process, review customer drawings/prints to determine and capture any additional requirements as related to quote details, or cost.
  • Coordinate and communicate with vendors for best pricing and delivery lead-time RFQ's via phone, email, Quote Software., based on customers materials requirements.
  • Work with both internal team members and external suppliers in a professional manner to extract accurate data and information in a timely fashion.
  • Coordinate input from suppliers, review supplier inputs for exceptions and elevate issues for resolution.
  • Create and utilize spreadsheets and perform all activities required for providing customers a finalized and detailed materials pricing report.
  • Maintain the supplier, manufacturer, and commodity tables in Quote Software for accurate quoting, data, and consistency.
  • Work under the direction of the Corporate Material Quote Manager and collaboration with other team members for accurate materials quotes.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and hard copy files as required for future reference. Collect and maintain data for monthly reporting as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Ensure that all assignments are performed in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, Provincial and Company safety and health regulations, and where applicable, proper personal protective equipment is utilized.

It is understood that certain minimum requirements are not tested for but monitored for competent capability during the employee's indoctrination period.

Requirements:

Due to the need to acquire a US Security Clearance, we can only accept candidates who are US Citizens.

High School Diploma or GED is Required, College degree preferred.

2+ years' experience in purchasing electronics or contract manufacturing, particularly purchasing, supply chain and /or electronics component distribution.

Experience with QuoteWin, Silicon Expert, CalcuQuote is a must.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is a must.

Ability to read and understand customer Bills of Materials, Drawings/Blueprints, Electronic Data and Specifications is a must.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.

Agile, ERPII Software applications a plus.

Ability to work independently and also perform within a dynamic team environment.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
