The establishment has 6 locations in the Cleveland area including: Mayfield, Beachwood, Downtown Cleveland, Lakewood, Independence and Bedford. Part-time and Full-time opportunities are available. SUMMARY: Coordinates, assembles, and delivers all food items from the kitchen to guests with proper plate presentation, garnishes, and sauces. Accurately packs takeout orders. Assists with kitchen prep work by portioning prepared food items. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Uses a sense of urgency when preparing and coordinating menu items to ensure ticket time standards. Store and rotate product according to First-In-First-Out (FIFO) practices. Sets up station according to diagram and follows set up and break down procedures. Utilizes scales, spoodles, and other utensils to measure product according to company specifications. Completes all assigned prep work. Practices and maintains safe and sanitary food handling procedures at all times. Wears clean disposable gloves on both hands at all times when handling ready-to-eat foods. Removes gloves before delivering food to guests. Maintains a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation and surrounding area, sweeping floors throughout the shift and stocking all necessary supplies. Maintains consistent kitchen operations through zoning of product, controlling of waste, and proper portioning. Maintains knowledge of daily and weekly food specials, seasonal menus items, and daily soup options. Identifies all menu items for proper portion sizes, quality standards, and plate presentation. Prioritizes food checks by order of importance to ensure ticket time standards are met. Ensures accurate plating of all food items by maintaining proper portions according to spec. Acts as final quality control between kitchen and guests by making sure all items meet standards. Makes certain all food items for guests and employees are rung in prior to items leaving the expo area. Uses serving trays to preserve the appearance of food items when delivering food and presents all food items by name to the guest. Smiles and displays a positive attitude and is attentive to guests' needs when delivering food. Knowledgeable on using the POS system to ring in takeout orders. Maintains POS equipment by using the pads of fingers tips to ring in food items. Does not use pens, credit cards, and other miscellaneous items to ring in orders. Follows takeout procedures and ensures all takeout orders are accurate prior to leaving the kitchen. Assists servers by pre-bussing tables while running food. Helps maintain "great atmosphere" by immediately informing a manager when a TV has a black screen or game ends. Acts as the liaison between the front of house and the back of house when communicating problems or issues. Alerts appropriate server or manager when there is an issue with a food item on a ticket in the kitchen. Alerts a manager when a food item needs to be remade due to a customer request or employee mistake. Answers phone calls within two rings and follows proper phone procedures. Properly uses chemicals when cleaning and complies with MSDS regulations. Changes sanitizer water as needed throughout the shift. Completes opening and closing checklists for every shift. Completes daily side work and cleaning projects in an efficient manner as designated on a checklist or as assigned by a supervisor. Responsible for completing cold line check and temperature log sheet for soups every two hours. Uses a 2-way radio to communicate with managers and hosts.
