Summary:
The Public Capital Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for processing new loan requests and continuous monitoring of existing customers. This role will underwrite new money requests and provide ongoing reviews in support of portfolio management. The Public Capital Senior Credit Analyst works directly with Sales Executives, Portfolio Managers, and Credit Officers to generate loan approval documents while helping to protect the quality of the Bank's loan portfolio.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists Sales Executives in the acquisition of new relationships
Supports Portfolio Managers with ongoing credit reviews of municipal clients
Prepares written evaluations of borrowers' financial condition; proactively identifies and mitigates risk
Processes ACH and commercial card requests
Analyzes governmental financial statements
Prepares analysis of a borrower’s financial statements, security/repayment, and tax base/local economy
Performs other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
2+ years of commercial credit analysis experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with at least three accounting courses
Prior experience in a high-volume, fast-paced Credit Analyst role
Demonstrated confidence, assertiveness, professionalism, and ability to interact with colleagues of all levels
Ability to analyze financial data and narrative information quickly and thoroughly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to multi-task, plan, and provide consistent follow-up
Strong computer skills including proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)
Excellent customer service skills
High motivation and focus with a strong goal orientation

Compensation Range:
$23.00 - $44.00 hourly
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
