Emerson Senior Computer & Network Infrastructure Engineer in CLUJ NAPOCA, Romania
As a Senior Computer and Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing projects and upgrades delivering Distributed Control Systems’ IT Infrastructure (Servers and Workstations, Networks, Virtualization, Software Deployment, and Cybersecurity) for process industries automation (such as Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas and Refining).
In this role, you will undertake project design, implementation, and factory acceptance test phases and will also be responsible for crafting documents developed for our customers within our project team according to agreed planning and functional requirements. You will support the Project Team in completing project-related engineering work and be responsible for the assigned scope.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
To offer high-quality engineering solutions for DeltaV DCS and other Emerson Software, cybersecurity, and industrial automation projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
To perform software installation, configuration, and testing based on customer specifications and user documentation.
To ensure the technical correctness of software and instrumentation, including all related documentation and project work.
To implement and test project requirements independently based on technical specifications.
To coordinate and handle internal tests, factory acceptance tests, customer site start-ups, and acceptance tests to ensure seamless execution.
To support the preparation of project proposals, especially those involving Computer and Network Infrastructure and Cybersecurity solutions.
To assist in preparing detailed reports for the Project Manager, with an action plan to complete the project on time, within budget, and successfully.
To actively share knowledge and standard methodologies with the engineering team and the wider organization to foster continuous improvement.
To find opportunities for improving processes, automating tasks, and enhancing engineering solutions.
To adapt to changing project requirements and fulfill other duties as assigned, while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and compliance.

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field - Automation/Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Chemical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure project execution, preferably for process industries with good technical knowledge :

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Proficient in English with a third European language preferred (written and verbal).
Computer literate (MS Office) with software programming skills.
Basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and principles, including machine learning, neural networks, and data analysis. Experience with AI-powered tools or platforms is a plus.
Willingness to travel with a European focus mainly for shorter periods (up to 25%) as required.
