Diesel Mechanic
Permanent Position
Location: Coeur D'Alene, Idaho
Job Description:
Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on mobile equipment.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment used in underground and surface mining, including drills, bolters, haul trucks, graders, dozers, tractors, light vehicles, and forklifts.
Responsibilities:
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and efficiency.
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brakes, transmissions, and other mechanical components.
Utilize diagnostic testing and perform welding and fabrication tasks.
Work with hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and suspension systems.
Read and interpret blueprints for maintenance and repair tasks.
Maintain a fleet of heavy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Essential Skills:
Experience with diesel engine maintenance and repair.
Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance and diagnostic testing.
Skilled in welding, fabrication, and blueprint reading.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- AA or Certificate in Automotive or Diesel preferred but not required.
Work Environment:
Work in both underground and surface mining environments.
Rotating 12-hour shifts: 4 on 5 off, 4 on 5 off, and 5 on 7 off.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
