Gama-1 Technologies System Administrator IV in College Park, Maryland
Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated System Administrator IV to join our IT team to support our customer, w orking daily at the on-site facility . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and supporting Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. You will work closely with other IT professionals to maintain server infrastructure and implement best practices for system administration.
More specifically, the role will provide support for AIX systems running Power 9 and RHEL Systems on v7/8/9. You will be expected to look for strategies required to move from AIX to Linux RHEL. You will also manage the Project to provide solutions to migrate Linux to AIX and implement the solution.

Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions.

Be a Team Lead.
Prioritize tasks and identify bottlenecks in the environment.
Evaluate tools and deploy in working environment.
Identify migration path from AIX to RHEL
Greater than twelve (12) years of experience with planning, designing, and installing virtual machines
Must have AIX Administration Certification
Must have complete and expert level knowledge of Ansible and Satellite
Hardware/software/storage within an Enterprise data center
Should have expert level knowledge on Ansible and managing of Linux and AIX environments
VMWare ESXi
Requirements
12 years of experience planning, designing, and installing virtual machines
Bachelors’ degree or equivalent
Work environment
This work is normally done onsite at the customer facility in College Park, MD
Physical demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Frequent use of a keyboard, laptop and mouse
Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with customers, collaborating with team members
Required education and experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
12+ years of applicable experience
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
US Citizen required
Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance

The base salary range for this position is: $137,309.64 - $187,963.17
This base salary range represents a general guideline. An individual’s base salary within that range is determined based on a variety of factors, including (without limitation) the scope, complexities, and responsibilities of the position, the government contract to which the position is assigned, geographic location, market conditions, and the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and skills.
