What We Want

The Course Evaluation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating day-to-day functionality of the Student Course Evaluation (SCE) platform and provides day-to-day stakeholder support. They will be designing and developing resources related to the SCE administration practices. The Course Evaluation Coordinator maintains records of users and ensures the accuracy of user access profiles and data included in reports accessed by those users.

Responsibilities

Student Course Evaluation Administrative Support:

  • Coordinates day-to-day functionality of the Student Course Evaluation (SCE) platform by managing platform setup for end-of-term and mid-term evaluations.

  • Regularly reviews the appropriate integration of SCE items, courses, sections, parts-of-term, and availability of results in the evaluation process in accordance with university timelines and rules

  • Liaises with vendor support team to address technical or development issues as needed

Student Course Evaluation User Support and Outreach:

  • Regularly communicates Student Course Evaluation (SCE) processes with identified stakeholders

  • Provides day-to-day SCE platform support for stakeholders and users

  • Develops relationships with end-users and units to enhance understanding of training and resource needs

  • Promotes the use of mid-term evaluations

  • Collaborates with campus partners to refine processes and resources as appropriate

Resource Development:

  • Designs and develops evidence-based training and resources for all levels of users and stakeholders (i.e., faculty and instructors, teaching assistants, administrators) related to SCE administration practices and item development

  • Collaborates with other members of the OIEE team to develop targeted resources as needed, to include (but is not limited to) web content, workshops, and individual or group consultations. Ensures the training and resource materials are regularly reviewed, updated, and available on the office website

User Access and Other Reporting:

  • Maintains accurate records of user access in the SCE platform and associated dashboard platform and conducts regular user audits in conjunction with department and college stakeholders

  • Performs quality assurance checks on dashboard and other reports

  • Assists in establishing short- and long-term goals and assessing effectiveness of support operations

  • Collaborates with and assists other members of the OIEE team as needed

    What You Need to Know

Salary: $59,000 -$64,000 (Based on selected hire’s qualifications)

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 4 years' experience in program administration, project management, higher education, teaching/training, or related experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Attention to detail

  • Experience coordinating a program or service

  • A professional role related to supporting academic departments

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet application

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree or progress towards a graduate degree

  • Experience providing training and /or creating resources

  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to learn new software systems
