Front Range Staffing is seeking a Metal Grinding Technician with 1+ years' experience for a growing machine shop on the North-West side of Colorado Springs to start ASAP!

The ideal candidate will have experience using various hand and power tools to prepare metal workpieces for final production, ensuring top-quality results in surface and edge finishing.

The hours are 7am to 445 Monday -Thursday and 7 to 11am on Fridays. Pay starts at $18hr.

Key Responsibilities: Operate hand and power tools to achieve precise surface and edge quality. Inspect workpieces for defects such as cracks and flawed welds. Lift and position workpieces using forklifts or manually; secure them with clamps. Set up and operate grinding tools to remove excess material, sharpen edges, and polish metal surfaces. Perform washing, Bondo application, glazing, sanding, and masking for painting processes. Assist with paint preparation, cleaning, and setup tasks. Ensure finished pieces meet quality standards, including cleanliness, correct masking, and proper paint finish. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Maneuver a 28 lb. grinder for extended periods. Comply with safety protocols by wearing PPE and a respirator.

Requirements: 1+ years' experience with metal finishing tools and techniques. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints. Physical ability to handle a 28 lb. grinder for prolonged periods. Must wear PPE and be able to work with a respirator when required.
