Insight Global Secret Linux Administrator in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Job Description

A company in Colorado Springs, CO is looking for a Secret Linux System Administrator to join their team in support of a classified program. This team is responsible for administering, updating and troubleshooting air and missile warning and space defense systems. This System Administrator will help with the administration and integration of complex Linux environments, including installation, patching, monitoring, problem resolution and configuration management. They will handle tickets to set up and manage systems, applications and environments; build, configure, troubleshoot and integrate new and existing servers; set up accounts and manage system performance and mass storage; and monitor performance, usage and back-up and recovery in accordance with security policies and procedures. This team uses CI/CD and Agile methodologies.

This position will be onsite 5 days/week at Peterson SFB with a salary range of $100-130k. Because this is a permanent opportunity, the company is able to offer a competitive salary along with benefits and a great company culture. This role requires an Active Secret Clearance or higher.

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Linux system administration

  • Ability to install and configure Linux/Unix systems from the OS level up

  • Experience writing scripts in Perl, bash shell and/or Expect languages

  • Experience with VMware

  • Ability to configure, analyze and troubleshoot clustered and virtual Oracle (Sun) and Linux-based servers

  • Experience with Information Assurance (IA) and Active Directory group policies - Security+ certification

  • Linux RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

  • Bachelors degree

  • TS/SCI clearance (preferred)

  • Experience supporting command and control (C2) systems for missile or space domain

  • Network administration with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, LDAP, Radius, NPS

  • VMWare installation and configuration, administration of ESXi hosts, vCenter deployment/configuration, and virtual storage with ISCSI and NFS null
