Job Title: Systems Engineer III

Job Description

Join our dedicated team to support the US Space Force Space Systems Command in the vital operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars integral to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning defense, and space surveillance missions. This role involves responsive planning, development, and delivery of radar hardware and software modifications, ensuring they meet customer requirements and operational standards. This on-site position located near Peterson Air Force Base offers a contract-to-hire opportunity, targeted to convert with a salary range of $110k-125 based on experience. A secret clearance is required, and candidates cannot hold a TS clearance.

Hard Skills

  • Systems Engineering related to IT and Engineering

  • Experience with requirements definition, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, systems integration, and system operational performance analysis

  • Experience in cloud-hosted development, integration, and test capability

  • Configuration and data management, hardware and software test evaluation

  • Cybersecurity solutions implementation in DoD systems

  • Translating operational requirements into system and technical requirements

Soft Skills

  • Ability to perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trade studies

  • Capable of managing large-scale Agile or SecDevOps teams/projects

  • Proficient in waterfall-to-agile transformations

  • Strong leadership in sustaining national security mission-critical systems

Job Type

Long term contract, program has funding for the next 7 years. Position will be reevaluated every 18 months.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Colorado Springs, Colorado and some days remote. (3 days onsite per week)

Work Environment

Onsite position at an office located near Peterson Air Force Base with a dynamic team focused on national security technologies. The role involves collaborative projects with the potential for long-term engagement through 2030.
