Main Ingredients of the Job

As a US FOODS® Will Call Selector you will be assisting the warehouse, sales team, customers, and vendors with order placements for pick up or delivery. Perform back up activities throughout warehouse supporting all aspects of shipping and receiving. Activities include data entry of shipping and receiving information, preparation and distribution related reports, or file/records. The rate of pay for this position is $21.99

• Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to insure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc.

• Check temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and compliance to U.S. Foodservice’s food safety and RRE requirements.

• Verify quantity of each product to insure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system. Move received product from the dock into the proper warehouse slots using forklift, pallet jack and hi-low.

• Completes required paperwork for daily receiving, as per U.S. Foodservice, USDA and SOX requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory.

• Transport pallet loads of product from dock to correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and insures all pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when product is selected.

• Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.

• Record all product, equipment and warehouse damage.

• Maintain the cleanliness of aisles by removing any debris from floor and racksFollow safety policies and practices at all times

What you bring to the table

Education/Training

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Related Experience/Requirements:  

• Preferred 3 years’ experience with warehouse & delivery procedures.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Communicate clearly both in writing and verbally

• Telephone skills, math skills, and organizational skills

• Basic computer skills, and good analytical skills

• Resolve routine problems of limited scope

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $21.99 and $26.23.

This role will also receive overtime compensation.
