Electrical Maintenance Associate

Maintenance Associates may be scheduled either a four-day 10-hour schedule Monday through Thursday (7am-5:30pm)
or assigned to partner with an E&I Shifter, working rotating shifts.

The Job You Will Perform:
This position supports International Paper's
Columbus Modified Fiber Plant (CMF), located in
Columbus, Mississippi. CMF is a vital part of International Paper's Global Cellulose Fibers Business. We are a converting operation that produces specialty fibers used in the production of diapers, filtration products, and other absorbent personal care products.
We are looking for dependable team members with excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills. Associates assist journeyman-level E&Is in routine maintenance work, as well as performing many duties independently. Duties for E&Is include, but are not limited to, electrical circuit troubleshooting and repair, conduit and wire installation, lighting repair, PLC troubleshooting and repair, drive troubleshooting and repair, as well as instrumentation and control valve calibration, troubleshooting and repair.
Position Responsibilities:

- Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment

The Skills You Will Bring:
Required:
- Must be at least age 18
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
- Basic computer skills
- Able to function in a team environment
- AND one of the following
- One (1) year experience in any of the following Maintenance Skill Areas: INSTRUMENTATION or ELECTRICAL, OR
- One (1) year vocational/technical education in the Instrumentation Electrical Disciplines: INSTRUMENTATION, ELECTRICAL, or HVAC
- Must satisfactorily pass pre-employment assessment testing and post offer drug/alcohol screen, background check and physical
- Able to work in a tobacco-free environment
- Able to work a rotating shift schedule
- Able to work overtime
Able to work holidays and weekends
Preferred:
Two year Associate Degree in any of the IP Core Maintenance skills or related disciplines (Instrumentation or Electrical)
Relevant work experience in an industrial environment
