Opportunities include a experience/learning path for increased responsibilities, leadership and pay based on performance and competence as well as potential to secure your professional Water/Sewer license.  Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  - transporting and operating machinery (mini-excavator, skid-steer, dump truck) for excavation, trenching, backfilling  - conducting equipment and vehicle inspections/preventive maintenance checks & basic repair  - preparing work according to instructions, maps and diagrams  - hand digging and manual installation of underground utilities  - maintaining safe work environment by following standards & procedures; compliance with job, site, state requirements/regulations  - ability to work independently, with little to no supervision (after appropriate training period) and according to established processes  - meeting/exceeding customer and employer quality expectations according to job/project requirements & schedule Requirements include:  - comfort working outdoors year-round, in a variety of weather conditions  - ability to lift 50 lbs  - clean and current OH Driver's License  - transportation to/from work locations Skills/qualifications include:  - experience in excavation and/or construction  - familiarity with operating excavation equipment  - honesty & integrity  - mechanical aptitude  - strong work ethic  - trouble shooting  - decision making  - communication and organizational skills  - problem solving
