Prevention and Training Manager TCFSH Requisition ID 2024-53550 Category Social Work Overview Develops and leads family violence training and prevention efforts in alignment with strategic plan, goals, and priorities. Supports policies, education, systems, advocacy that promotes social justice and stops racism, and keeps survivor preferences at the center of goals. Responsibilities * Articulates clear vision and strategy to encourage collaboration, integration, and shared commitment to common goals. Collaborates to determine priority of training and prevention efforts, conducts relevant meetings, education sessions, and speaking events, and maintains an effective communication strategy. * Supervises training and prevention coordinators and additional prevention staff and specialists, ensuring that all requirements and developmental opportunities are met. * Maintains program development and performance strategy. Collaborates to determine pilot sessions and implement programmatic prevention strategies. * Promotes family violence prevention months across the region, engaging prevention specialists and key stakeholders to accomplish goals. Collaborates to develop and implement informational and promotional materials that can be placed in to best reach target populations. Works to destigmatize family violence as well as other associated negative outcomes of victimization. * Collaborates to identify achievable outcomes and measurement tools are relevant and able to be validated. Ensures systems are in place to maintain and monitor data and other assessment related outcomes. Monitors emerging evidence-based, promising, or innovative family violence prevention and educates staff and stakeholders accordingly. * Submits routine reports, relevant granting authorities, and key stakeholders. Assists with managing relevant grants and sub-awards, collaborating as needed. Qualifications Education Requirement: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field with 2 to 3 years of experience in prevention, education and consultation; or a Bachelor's Degree with approximately 10 years of experience in prevention, consultation and education related activities. Skills: * Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and lead groups of professional and paraprofessional groups, as well as to represent the agency to stakeholders. * Familiarity with youth and family/social services/ family violence agencies within the region desired. * The manager will possess knowledge, skills and experience in family violence prevention, consultation, and education/training, as well as capacity to manage large and small grants and contracts. This position will work closely with TCFSH leadership and staff, NCH departments, and community partners to develop and implement strategies that address our comprehensive prevention, consultation, and education/training needs. Experience: * Supervisory experience, required. * Experience working with victims of family violence, with an emphasis on evidenced based prevention and early intervention services, and trauma informed care, required. * Experience with project and grants management, professional group facilitation, and report writing, required. * Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations and demonstrate basic excel skills, required. * Experience and competence in public speaking and public education, required.
