The Importance of the Role

As a Contract Research Associate I within the Manufacturing team, you will leverage your expertise to support the production of high-quality recombinant AAV vectors while adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Your role will focus on executing manufacturing processes with precision, ensuring compliance with rigorous quality standards, and contributing to the team's success through operational excellence and technical proficiency.

  • Pay Rate: $25-27/hr

  • 1st shift M-F

  • 1 year contract with possibility of conversion/extension

AAV Vector Production:

• Perform detailed, high-yield AAV vector production to support a variety of early research programs in a timely and efficient manner.

• Execute established manufacturing procedures and SOPs, ensuring precision in all unit operations involved in viral vector production.

Process and Record Management:

• Maintain accurate and complete batch records for all vector productions, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with the Analytics team to manage samples, conduct timely testing, and ensure data generation and vector release

• Support inventory management and ensure readiness of equipment for production.

Operational Support:

• Contribute to routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to uphold operational excellence.

• Participate in cross-functional collaborations to enhance workflows and achieve project objectives.

More about You

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline with 0-3 years of hands-on industrial experience in biologics manufacturing

• Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, chromatography, TFF, FPLC affinity purification, and other related unit operations is desired

• Experience with AAV viral vector production in an industry setting is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with basic laboratory methods: buffer preparation, pipetting, balances, and sterile techniques.

• Experience in GLP and/or GMP-grade biologics manufacturing is highly desirable.

Collaborative Skills:

• Proven ability to successfully plan and execute experiments in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience mentoring and collaborating with team members across functions.
