Oracle Senior Quality Engineering Manager - OCI in Columbus, Ohio

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Manager with extensive knowledge of server technologies and test automation experience to join our team. Your leadership skills will inspire, motivate, and guide an existing team of quality engineers to achieve collective company and organizational goals. This role requires an innovative mindset, strategic planning, and the ability to adjust rapidly with changing requirements.

We are looking for candidates with 10+ years of strong experience testing server-level hardware and software.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage day-to-day operations of an existing team of quality engineers to ensure efficiency and alignment with organizational goals and deadlines. This includes employees located in remote locations and various time zones.

  2. Implement strategic and innovative plans to ensure both company and team success.

  3. Collaborate with senior management, program management, manufacturing, and both hardware and software development teams.

  4. Constantly analyze metrics and generate reports to identify opportunities to improve operations across projects

  5. Ensure compliance of team members with company policies and best practices

  6. Assist in yearly budget forecasts for future projects and test infrastructure requirements

  7. Day to day rack server lab infrastructure planning and troubleshooting

Skills Required:

  1. Excellent understanding of system-level hardware, software and firmware qualification testing

  2. Proven experience technically leading teams through complex projects

  3. Exceptional leadership skills that instills trust in both leadership and direct reports

  4. Strong ability to think strategically to interpret data and make appropriate adjustments

  5. Highly motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision, and meet goals and aggressive deadlines

  6. Excellent communication skills to ensure all stakeholders are informed and have clarity

  7. Understanding of a rack server lab infrastructure that includes power, cooling and network switch solutions

  8. Release cycles are short. Candidate must adapt to an environment where turnaround time is a key measure of success

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $109,200 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
