SUMMARY:

Monitors the receipt, storage and distribution of equipment and supplies in a stockroom, storage area, or warehouse to support efficient business operations in the statewide network of offices, buildings, and institutions of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:High school diploma or high school equivalency credential. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience:Two years' experience in inventory control or stock record keeping, one year of which shall have been in a supervisory/monitoring capacity.

License/Certification:Valid New Hampshire driver's license is required to deliver equipment and supplies to inter-department or district offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitors day-to-day shipping and receiving functions via UPS and other couriers including ensuring the accurate processing of all related purchasing and shipping documents for use in invoice payment and equipment inventory control. Enters shipping and receiving data into an Access database in order to monitor inventory levels.

Monitors the receipt and inspection of all supplies, equipment, furniture and other goods for DHHS to ensure all items received are undamaged and that inventory tag numbers are assigned. Receiving responsibilities are also provided for other agencies located within the building.

Fills orders and arranges the transportation schedule for the delivery of emergency, monthly, and quarterly form and supply requests for the district offices and inter-department offices to ensure an adequate supply of forms and supplies for use by the Divisions.

Establishes inventory reorder levels and communicates reorder information to users to avoid supply shortages. Monitors and verifies inventory levels to ensure accuracy of computerized systems.

Arranges transportation schedules for needed stock and supplies between 29 Hazen and 129 Pleasant Street locations and to district offices located throughout the state.

Maintains computerized records of stock received and stock shipped to properly manage inventory levels.

Oversees the packaging of forms and supplies to be shipped via UPS for delivery to district offices and other local vendors.

Oversees the collection and transfer of classified material for storage and destruction, such as case records which must be retained in accordance with the agency and federal policies.

Affixes equipment inventory tags to new equipment and submits receiving reports to the data base manager to maintain current records of equipment inventory. Assembles and performs minor repair of office furniture and equipment.

Provides direction and training and assigns and reviews the work of Stoc Clerk II position(s) to ensure agency requirements are met.
