Philadelphia Gymnastics Center Children's Ninja Instructor in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania
Philadelphia Gymnastics Center, located in Conshohocken, is seeking part-time instructors for our Ninja Zone Program. Hours teaching gymnastics classes, birthday parties, private lessons, and other children's events may be available as well. Instructors are expected to guide classes or events. All Instructors will be trained on the required curriculum. Must be at least 16 years old, enjoy working with children, energetic and positive.
* ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Executing classes based on the NinjaZone curriculum and training.
Fostering a safe, fun, and supportive environment
Helping children at all skill levels build confidence in themselves & their athletic abilities.
Ensuring the safety of the athletes by teaching correct technique, correcting incorrect technique, setting up drills or ways to help the athletes correctly learn skills, and spotting or physically assisting athletes when they attempt or complete skills.
Creating a positive atmosphere in the gym for athletes and other PGC staff. Encouraging athletes to overcome their fears and grow in Ninja and athletics in general.
Host special children's events with other staff members including birthday parties, camps, parent's night out and other fun activities
Maintaining enthusiasm for movement and Ninja training.
Ensure all children have left the gym safely after class.
Clean up equipment after your class and help set up equipment for the next classes.
Communicating effectively with parents when they come to you with comments, requests, and concerns.
Attend meetings or complete training as required
Wearing proper class attire
*ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: *
Willingness to learn the NinjaZone curriculum and do the NinjaZone online training.
Knowledge or experience in coaching Ninja, gymnastics, martial arts, or parkour preferred but certainly not required. Training will be provided.
Experience coaching or working with children in small groups and/or class environments preferred
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs in order to safely and correctly physically assist (spot) athletes.
Ability to demonstrate and do Ninja courses.
Willingness to work mornings, afternoons, nights, and possibly weekends. .
Have a positive attitude.
CPR and First Aid certified preferred
