PRIMARY PURPOSE The Dean of Instruction for CTE serves as the primary operational management link between the faculty and the administration. Responsible for managing day-to-day issues and decisions about staffing, scheduling, budget monitoring, program and curriculum development, program assessment, full and part-time faculty performance evaluation and objectives, program marketing, student recruitment, and retention for both credit and non-credit career technical and workforce programs. Primary departments include but are not limited to; Fire Science, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Dental Assisting, Computer Science, Business, Diesel Tech and Welding. The Dean also oversees Apprenticeship programs and Care Connections. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Master\'s degree from an accredited institution in education or recognized discipline Experience: Minimum three (3) years full-time teaching experience required (or appropriate combination of part-time teaching and industry experience). Supervisory Experience: A minimum of five (5) years increasingly responsible administrative/leadership experience including monitoring budgets and evaluation of staff. PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Applicants for this position possessing one or more of the following knowledge, skills and abilities with receive preferred consideration through the selection process. Business/industry work experience preferred. Experience in and responsibility for budget planning and administration. Experience making presentations to other professionals. Experience developing and implementing new academic, career-technical programs.
