SUNY Cortland Assistant Professor - Kinesiology in Cortland, New York
Position Summary:
The Kinesiology Department at the State University of New York at Cortland invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor with a specialization in motor behavior (motor learning/control). Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, research, academic advisement, and service.
Major Responsibilities:
Teaching
Provide instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in motor behavior (motor learning/control)
Provide instruction in other areas dependent on expertise
Advise/mentor undergraduate and graduate students
Scholarship
Implement an active research agenda that leads to nationally/internationally refereed publications and presentations
Pursue external funding for research
Direct graduate/undergraduate research projects
Service
- Provide service to the department, university, and professional organizations
Required Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in Kinesiology or closely related discipline. Candidates who are ABD may be considered with expected completion of doctorate within one year from appointment date.
Preferred Qualifications:
Specialization in motor behavior (motor learning/control)
Demonstrated experience and evidence of university-level teaching
Experience in delivering undergraduate and/or graduate coursework in motor behavior (motor learning/motor control)
