JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Executive Administrative Assistant.
Reporting to the SVP Chief Controller & Accounting Officer, this position provide top-level administrative support. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional with exceptional organizational and communication skills. This role requires a high degree of discretion, judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information.
*KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES *
Provide comprehensive administrative support to senior executives, including managing schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Review requests for meetings, speaking engagements, media interviews, conferences, etc., recognizing sensitivity and confidentiality of the office. Maintain leader's calendar regarding meetings, appointments and screen calls and visitors, being mindful of established priorities.
Schedule and make all necessary arrangements for meetings and conferences such as the preparation and distribution of agenda and handouts, acquiring of meeting room, accommodation, notification of participants, arranging for audiovisual or other equipment, preparing and issuing meeting notices, typing of minutes of the meeting covering numerous items.
Set up priority for requests and where possible refer same to other knowledgeable staff for action or, respond personally to request providing required information or service.
Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.
Coordinate and organize meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
Manage expense reports, budgets, and other financial documents.
Perform other administrative duties as required to support the executive team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an executive administrative support role.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

This position is moving to OPG Corporate Headquarters: In Summer 2025, OPG will officially welcome employees to our new Corporate Headquarters located at 1908 Colonel Sam Drive, Oshawa, Ontario. This position will be temporarily based in Darlington, ON until the move to Headquarters in the Summer of 2025.

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
