Job Title: QC Analyst
Location: Swindon
Position Summary:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a QC Analyst II in Swindon. This role works shifts: 12 hour days- 4 day on 4 days off. Be part of an ambitious team to implement top-quality control processes for pharmaceutical products.
Responsibilities:
Perform quality control analytical testing of incoming goods, intermediates, and finished products under cGMP conditions for QC release or as part of stability studies.
Conduct technical transfer, method development, and method validation as required.
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including analytical write-ups, standard operating procedures, specifications, investigations, and reports.
Perform planned preventative maintenance and performance calibrations on equipment.
Provide technical troubleshooting and problem-solving related to analytical equipment, analytical methods, or unexpected results.
Maintain personal training records and support, as well as train, other team members as required.
Communicate effectively with colleagues both on-site and internationally, participating in collaborative problem-solving activities.
Ensure strict adherence to cGMP in all business areas.
Work with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), cGMP, and 5S principles in mind, participating in continuous improvement activities to further improve team and departmental progress.
Undertake additional tasks as needed.

Ensure compliance with environment, health and safety, and security policies and procedures, rules, signage, and instructions at all times.
Promptly report and investigate all accidents, near misses, and rule breaches.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field.
Proven experience with instrumental and traditional analytical techniques.
Experience with SOPs and writing technical documentation preferred.
Ability to work to critical timelines and commit to overseas travel as part of a project team.
Strong ability to build positive working relationships with both internal and external business customers and clients.
Highly motivated, diligent individual with excellent communication, computer, and organisational skills.
