Absolics Inc Semiconductor System Engineer in Covington, Georgia
Installation of Automation Systems and Robots:

Installing semiconductor packaging glass substrate manufacturing systems and logistics automation systems, including robots, conveyors, sensors, and control systems, in production facilities;

Configuring and calibrating automation equipment to meet process requirements and ensure accurate operation;

Integrating automation systems with existing manufacturing equipment and logistics infrastructure;
-
Conducting rigorous testing and validation of installed systems to ensure performance, accuracy, and reliability;
-
Creating and maintaining detailed installation documentation, including wiring diagrams, system layouts, and operation manuals;
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Developing and executing preventive maintenance schedules to ensure system uptime and reliability;
-
Diagnosing and resolving issues with automation systems and robots, minimizing production downtime;
-
Managing inventory of spare parts and tools required for system maintenance and repairs;
-
Using monitoring tools and analytics to track system performance and identify potential issues proactively;
System Upgrades and Optimization;

Implementing upgrades to hardware and software in automation systems to improve performance and accommodate process changes;
-
Analyzing system performance and recommending modifications to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve output quality;

Integrating new technologies into existing automation systems for smarter operations;
Compliance and Safety:

Ensuring all systems comply with relevant safety and industry standards;

Conducting regular safety checks on automation equipment to prevent hazards;

Training operators and technicians on safe usage and basic troubleshooting of automation systems;
Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Working with production, logistics, quality assurance, and IT teams to align automation systems with operational goals;

Collaborating with equipment vendors for installation, updates, and technical support;
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintaining comprehensive logs of maintenance activities, system updates, and troubleshooting incidents;

Providing detailed reports on installation progress and final performance outcomes;
Continuous Improvement:

Staying updated on the latest advancements in robotics, automation, and semiconductor manufacturing technologies;

Proactively proposing and implementing system enhancements to maintain a competitive edge; and
-
Developing and implementing cost-effective strategies for system installation and maintenance.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation/Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other closely related field of study;
Experience in handling semiconductor manufacturing equipment;
Skills in handling automation systems and control systems; and
Technical and analytical skills to resolve mechanical issues.
