Amentum Electronics Technician in Crane, Indiana

Duties include:
Active role in deconstructing electronic components
Translate hands on experience to find technological solutions to improve processes and procedures
Support development by designing fixtures, software, and/or non-traditional techniques
Make technical decisions based on skills and training in the use of test equipment and associated systems
Notify and discuss technical problems with engineering personnel, contractors, or other government representatives as necessary
Minimum Requirements:
Vocational/technical training beyond high school in electronics technology / engineering
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Hands-on experience with handling and testing small parts, such as microelectronics
Knowledge of electronic components and device operating characteristic
Understanding and utilization of laboratory safety practices, including chemical safety
Applied knowledge of geometry and algebra for physical applications
Strong written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Ability to engage on a multidisciplinary team of technicians, scientists, and engineers
Ability to identify and support opportunities for process improvements through fixture design and integrating new techniques
The ability to pass and maintain a DoD Security Clearance (Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a clearance)
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance
Experience in laboratory environments, including operation of microscopes and other analytical equipment
Basic knowledge of microelectronic construction and materials
Basic knowledge of techniques for failure or material analysis of microelectronics
Working knowledge of micro controller programming
