Summary

HII-Mission Technologies has an immediate need for a motivated Principal Systems Engineer working remote with up to 25% travel pending project surge requirements. This position will focus on developing and implementing systems to counter or neutralize threats from Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS). The candidate with work directly with a collaborative team including the end customer to design, develop, and integrate systems to counter UAS threats, which could include radar systems, electronic warfare systems, or cybersecurity solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Perform Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) to ensure all failures have been accounted for

  • Leading Configuration Management efforts controlling Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and the Engineering Change Procedures (ECPs) while developing and documenting system requirements and architectures

  • Designing, integrating, and testing radar systems ensuring they meet customer requirements

  • Conducting trade studies and analysis to optimize system performance and cost while evaluating risks

  • Developing and implementing test plans and procedures to verify system requirements and performance criteria are met

What We Are Looking For: Minimum Qualifications

  • 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.

  • Deep understanding and interpretation of the MRL stages and requirements for a Program of Record

  • Excellent working knowledge of counter UAS systems including radar systems, direct fire weapon systems, and command and control elements

  • Experience performing verification and validation testing

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability and willingness to work independently with little oversight or direction

Preferred: Bonus Points For

  • Experience with C5ISR, radar, electronic warfare, and communications

  • Active US Government DoD Secret, Top Secret, and/or active SCI access at time of application
