Installation, repair and general maintenance of water lines, taps, meters, valves, hydrants, etc. as specified by the state and districts rules and regulations. Reads and records meter readings. Responsible for the safe operation, care, and appearance of assigned vehicle and equipment. Performs general maintenance and upkeep of all utility grounds.

Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, and squat Lift and carry no more than 100 pounds without help. Work outdoors in extreme temperatures including heat, cold, temperature swings and inclement weather. Hear and see clearly when working in and around traffic, using proper safety precautions.

Maintains detailed records of all work performed and makes reports as necessary. Must react quickly and calmly in emergency situations and determine proper course of action. Must deal effectively and handle citizen complaints regarding field operations and procedures. Ability to explain and interpret rules and regulations to the public. Performs additional duties or emergency duties after normal work hours.

Must be able to maintain an effective working relationship with employees and Must have a valid Tennessee drivers license.

Updated Pay rate!! Starting pay is $16.00 per hour.

This is a part-time position with the possibility of going to full-time.
