American Woodmark Maintenance Clerk, 1st Shift in Cumberland, Maryland
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Parts Clerk is responsible for ordering, sorting, and stocking parts and supplies
for production equipment by managing orders electronically.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ability to learn, identify, stock, and track all parts and materials so that sufficient
inventory is always on hand to maintain production without interruption
Ability to learn, and become proficient at all modules, using a maintenance management
system
Ability to review inventory annually based on direction of leadership and system trends
Ability to understand material flow and the ordering process
Proactively research vendors to find the best service and prices for items purchased
Follow up with vendors to assure timely delivery, tracking information, and communicate
to leadership during a weekly Engineering and Maintenance Meeting
Responsible for maintaining, storing, and appropriately disposing of hazardous waste
Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping for yourself and your team
Display, encourage, and maintain a professional work environment through the timely
completion of projects, respectful communication, team player attitude, integrity,
accountability, excellence
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to apply basic math concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and
division
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, receipts, and reports
Ability to use and read a standard tape measure
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Must have technical background and mechanical knowledge
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Required Physical Ability:
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
Ability to climb and perform various duties from a latter at various heights
Frequent bending, crouching, pulling and pushing
Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
