As a member of the Technical Accounting team, you will partner closely with our creative and groundbreaking finance and business teams to ensure they are provided with top-notch accounting guidance to drive the business forward. You will have the opportunity to advise on a broad range of business issues and continually improve our financial and operational processes.

Description

• Perform technical research and document accounting conclusions for complex transactions • Establish, document, and educate others on Apple-wide accounting policies • Support cross-functional implementation of new accounting policies, serving as the accounting subject matter expert • Participate in close-related accounting reviews and analyses

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 years of progressive experience, including people management experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent

  • CPA or equivalent

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7-8+ years of progressive experience from public accounting and/or large public companies, preferably focused on the technology industry

  • Experience with U.S. GAAP technical research and analysis for a broad range of accounting topics, including leases, fixed assets, software development costs, and contingencies. IFRS experience a plus.

  • Ability to perform technical research on complex matters and effectively communicate accounting issues to business partners, ensuring that relevant accounting issues are identified, debated, and resolved

  • Strong documentation skills—clear, concise, detailed, and accurate

  • Ability to explain technical concepts and articulate your expert opinion at all levels within Apple

  • Ability to build relationships and work directly with senior executives

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,900 and $201,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
