Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direction of the Manager, performs advanced program support and administrative services for the Maternal Fetal Institute. Administrative duties include, but are not limited to registering patients, organizing, preparing and maintaining patient medical records and files, routine patient calls, faxing and answering routine inquires. Assists with inventory needs, ordering, stocking and distribution of supplies. Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Maternal Fetal Institute from patient’s initial referral through the patient care experience and ultimately post-delivery or treatment follow-up. Responsible for the coordination of on-going care of obstetrical patients including appointment scheduling and on-going family support. Maintains relationships with referral physicians to assure appropriate contact and patient follow-up. Responsible for data collection and database maintenance for all Maternal Fetal Institute patients and neonates.

Qualifications:

• College degree in related field Preferred

• Current American Heart Association BLS provider.

• Bi-lingual Spanish/English highly preferred.

• Knowledge of Perinatal patients preferred.

• Display independent judgment to determine the sequence of job activities within the workday.

• Excellent time management, pro-active and independent ability to complete assigned tasks

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle confidential materials

• Excellent computer skills with initiative to learn other required computer database/documentation systems.

• Other duties as assigned.
