About the Role:

You will work in a team-oriented environment where you will perform a variety of structural assembly operations. Your work will directly impact the assembly and fitting of aircraft parts and structures, ensuring that each part meets the highest standards of quality and safety. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the assembly process from start to finish, working under minimal supervision to bring complex aircraft designs to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structural Assembly: Perform assembly, fitting, drilling, and riveting of parts and structures, ensuring each piece meets quality standards and customer expectations.

  • Precision Craftsmanship: Use tools like riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, and rivet shavers to ensure a precise fit and finish.

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and operation sheets to determine the correct sequence of operations and ensure proper assembly.

  • Work Quality: Verify that all assemblies meet quality standards and perform necessary rework based on Material Review Requests (MRR) or Discrepant Material Tags (DMT).

  • Safety & Organization: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations and the company’s 5S Program.

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement activities like Kaizen events and help optimize production processes.

  • Tool Maintenance: Properly use and maintain company-provided tools, ensuring all equipment is returned in good condition.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience: 2+ years of related structural assembly experience.

  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use basic shop math.

  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in small or restricted spaces, and operate ground support equipment.

  • Safety & Detail-Oriented: A commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam software.

  • Familiarity with working on composite materials.

  • Previous experience with Lean Activities and process improvement efforts.

  • Ability to work various shifts as required.

Pay Details: $26.94 per hour
