Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team. As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for ensuring proper safety equipment usage, interpreting blueprints, and understanding the operations of powered hand tools and HVLP spray systems. This role offers an opportunity to grow into leadership positions within the company.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate safety equipment in a welding environment.

• Account for time on specific work orders and the payroll system.

• Read and interpret blueprints.

• Safely operate powered hand tools.

• Identify varied steels and alloys.

• Understand ratios and liquid measurements.

• Prepare surfaces properly.

• Operate HVLP spray systems correctly.

• Zero and calibrate electro/mechanical test/measurement equipment.

• Identify best practices for cleaning and maintaining paint-related equipment.

• Accurately fill out all usage reports.

• Ensure all containers are labeled correctly.

• Operate overhead lifting equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience in paint prep, production, and industrial painting.

• Knowledge of construction painting and sanding techniques.

• Ability to use spray guns and paint booths.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

• Willingness to wear a respirator.

Work Environment

You will be working in a non-climate controlled environment. The shift is from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with occasional early starts at 5:00 AM and some Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
