responsibilities:
Handle all standard tasks of an Instrumentation Technician.
Foster a culture emphasizing safety, teamwork, and communication.
Manage schedules and approve working hours.
Develop and deliver training programs.
Address and correct performance issues.
Promote teamwork and communication across departments.
Resolve scheduling conflicts and provide shift coverage as needed.
Coordinate with Operator and Industrial Technician Leads to improve support processes.
Develop and maintain the plant's technical database and equipment.
Write and maintain electrical standard work plans and troubleshooting guides.
Plan and schedule maintenance activities.
Lead after-action reviews and problem-solving sessions.
Specify replacements for obsolete electrical/controls equipment.
Plan and schedule work in SAP.
Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and quality vision systems.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Support line uptime and quality shingle production with cross-departmental teams.
Respond to radio calls to resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
Prioritize and perform planned work and line calls during shifts.
Communicate status, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and follow-up tasks with the shift team.
Identify and obtain parts needed for electrical maintenance and repair projects.
Transport parts and equipment between work projects.
Perform electrical repairs on various types of equipment.
Use electrical hand tools, voltage and amperage measuring devices.
Install, configure, and calibrate instruments and devices.
Run conduit, pull electrical cable, and stack conduit and electrical wire as needed.
Operate shop equipment such as welding machines, grinders, and drill presses.
Test equipment for safety and efficiency.
Modify existing equipment and programs as directed.
Provide technical information on calibration, programming, and machine setup.
Prepare system layouts, drawings, and schematics.
Update and create electrical drawings on paper or in AutoCAD.
Update Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
