This job is a member of the Procurement Team within the Finance Division.
The main responsibilities include developing and executing the strategy for Procurement Value savings delivery and create executive dashboards on different platforms such as ARC, Wave, Coupa, SAP and others to measure our annual performance vs goals.
As part of the Procurement Team, this role will support the Senior Manager in executing the strategy and building processes, systems, and tools for better value delivery and tracking of annual goals within American Airlines
It is an instrumental key role that helps us manage and execute the right strategies to manage $30B USD annual spend and deliver our $500M usd goal.
You will be responsible to develop and execute the strategy for our Procurement tracking savings dashboard metrics and performance across Source to Pay.
What you'll do
Create, develop and execute a Procurement strategy for value delivering and tracking of our Procurement transformation goals
Identify opportunities in collaboration with stakeholders and category sourcing teams.
Support and enhance category strategies across different categories providing benchmark information and market intelligence.
Design Supplier optimization and spend entitlements for our category sourcing teams that serves as guideline for better value across the company.
Support working capital projects and collaborate on the strategy for its execution.
Develop visibility and strategies for a better Tail management supply base and spend.
Develop and implement KPIs in alignment to our annual goals and Transformation office initiatives.
Design, build and execute platforms using PowerBI or similar technologies to track performance across the organization.
Responsible for market intelligence, manage data sources and subscriptions related to value driven initiatives.
Serve as a Liaison between Procurement and the Transformation office for proper recording of value driven initiatives across all American airlines
Responsible to maintain and execute our savings methodology and develop policies for procurement savings.
Lead and drive continuous improvement projects within the Procurement department, focusing on optimizing processes, reducing costs, and enhancing overall operational efficiency across teams.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience and procurement-related software and processes.
Project Management training and exposure to the strategic sourcing process.
+7 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, or Business Administration / Management
Experience leading a Strategic Sourcing teams with direct reports is a plus
Experience building dashboards KPIs metrics, using tableu, excel, Coupa, Power BI and other data & analytics software• Experience with Continuous Improvement Methodologies and Lean Six Sigma preferred.

Ability to demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively lead those in their span of care
Ability to lead teams to develop and implement effective category strategies

Strong process analysis/development skills.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Domestic and International network.
Knowledge of procurement related sourcing tools and systems.
