Position: Senior Network Engineer

Job Description:

We seek a highly experienced and proactive Senior Network Engineer with a primary focus on leading Network and Security Projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying and managing various network solutions to ensure the integrity and security of our infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Cisco, Meraki, VeloCloud, and FortiGate technologies. This role requires a proactive individual who can lead network projects, provide exceptional customer service, and participate in on-call rotation. It also requires strong project management skills and the ability to work independently.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Lead and manage network projects from inception to completion

• Expert-level architecture and design experience of global networks

• Expert-level experience in converting legacy networks to next-generation design

• Expert understanding of Routing & Switching concepts

• Design, implement, and manage WAN routing and routing protocols

• Deploy and manage Cisco ISE servers, ensuring secure network access and policy compliance

• Implement and manage 802.1x authentication for both wireless/wired networks and troubleshoot related issues

• Oversee and fine-tune Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), monitor threats, and update configurations

• Certificate Management: Handle digital certificates and maintain PKI solutions

• Firewall Management: Configure and troubleshoot Cisco ASA, MX, Fortigate, and Velocloud firewalls, conducting regular audits

• Cloud Firewall Management: Deploy Cisco ASA/MX firewalls in cloud environments and resolve related issues

• VPN Configuration: Manage and troubleshoot VPN solutions for secure remote access

• Security Audits: Conduct audits to ensure compliance and address vulnerabilities

• Meraki Devices Management: Ensure optimal performance and security of Meraki network devices

• Cisco Umbrella & AnyConnect: Deploy and manage these solutions for security and remote access

• Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for Cisco, Meraki, VeloCloud, and FortiGate technologies

• Maintain and optimize WiFi networks, including Cisco Meraki access points

• Other duties as assigned

• Expert in creating and maintaining network diagrams and documentation

  Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

• Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer or similar role

• Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network operations

• Deliver exceptional customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders

• Adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong customer service orientation

• Ability to lead projects and work independently

• Participation in on-call rotation

• CCIE certification preferred

  Skills:

• Certifications in Cisco technologies (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)

• Experience with other network infrastructure, security tools, and platforms
