Description

We are in the search for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. Your primary role will involve handling various accounting tasks including processing vendor invoices, maintaining balance sheets, executing time-sensitive work and supporting audit and tax requests. This role will also require you to assist in managing accounting functions and preparing schedules for closing accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately validate and process vendor invoices.

• Maintain balance sheet and expense accounting, including monthly account reconciliations and variance analysis.

• Provide support for audit and tax requests in relation to role scope.

• Execute tasks within given deadlines to achieve desired results.

• Assist in managing accounting functions and improving processes.

• Prepare supporting schedules for monthly and annual accounting closes.

• Handle other financial and analytical projects as needed.

• Ensure the efficient use of QuickBooks, Bill, and Divvy for various accounting tasks.

• Maintain a strong focus on accuracy and detail orientation in a fast-paced environment.

• Develop and maintain accurate customer credit records.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of accounting

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary

• Ability to efficiently manage Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software is essential

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles
