Robert Half Tax Manager - Public in Dallas, Texas

Description We are on the lookout for a meticulous Tax Manager to join our team in the public sector, situated in Dallas, Texas. As a Tax Manager, you will be expected to carry out a thorough review of tax returns and documents for a variety of clients, stay current with tax law and accounting procedures, and efficiently manage tasks/projects within the team. Moreover, you'll be the front-line communicator with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive technical reviews on the tax returns and documents for a diverse client base.

• Investigate tax issues and devise solutions/recommendations for these problems.

• Keep current with changes and developments in tax law and accounting procedures.

• Ensure all client deadlines are met by directing, coordinating, scheduling, and exercising functional authority for planning, organizing, and interfacing with clients.

• Effectively communicate and liaise with clients to achieve their best interests.

• Manage and support subordinate activities to achieve objectives by providing necessary resources and fostering a positive work environment.

• Oversee the quality of our product and the performance of our team.

• Delegate, monitor and manage tasks/projects assigned to staff/supervisors.

• Play a proactive role in the development of staff and supervisors.

• Foster and maintain internal and external networks to develop new business opportunities.

• Oversee real-time and monthly billing functions and collections, and monitor additions to WIP, aging and write-downs.

• Encourage and partake in "in-house" CPE and training activities. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is essential.

• Experience with CaseWare is necessary.

• Ability to use CCH ProSystem Fx is required.

• Knowledge of CCH Sales Tax is essential.

• Must be able to perform Accounting Functions effectively.

• Experience with Annual Income Tax Provision is necessary.

• Auditing skills are required.

• Must be able to handle Compliance tasks effectively.

• Experience in Entity Formation is necessary.
