The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Heart of Florida

· AdventHealth Heart of Florida is a licensed 193-bed acute care hospital, coupled with outpatient services including imaging, rehab, lab and wound care, that has been serving the community for over 50 years.

· As a part of the AdventHealth network patients will have greater access to a wide range of innovative therapies, new research, leading-edge technology and an extensive team of medical specialists.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Community Relations Manager is a critical member of the Community Relations team and executes the company’s community outreach. They are responsible for initiating and maintaining relationships with strategic nonprofit partners in the Central Florida region, and connect back to market hospital leadership to ensure awareness of community efforts. They develop and execute community programs/initiatives and are actively involved on community boards and highly visible at community events. The Community Relations Manager assists in crafting major community outreach opportunities such as financial or in-kind giving and helps identify potential volunteer and community service opportunities for AdventHealth employees. They assist in ensuring that market hospital leadership is involved with the community and represented on local boards of directors. They actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Actively seek, organize, and execute efforts to represent AdventHealth favorably in the community. Promote AdventHealth by working with members of the public and strategic community groups on projects that advance the community health objectives of the healthcare system.

· Develop and enhance relationships with external partners, including non-profit organizations, foundations, community influencers, business leaders and more.

· Seek out and activate sponsorship opportunities for events and programs that benefit the health of the surrounding community as defined by the Community Health Needs Assessment.

· Serve as a conduit between several assigned local markets and the community members in them, keeping leadership informed and engaged in efforts and initiatives that are strategic.

· Ensure market hospital leaders are kept abreast of community relations work, and plugged into strategic opportunities to speak, attend events, serve on boards, and be visible in their communities.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

· Bachelor’s degree in communications-related discipline, e.g. English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing,

OR

· Equivalent documented professional experience in community-focused work environment

· At least one year of management experience

· Current, valid U.S. passport, permanent resident- alien registration- card (“green card”) or appropriate document(s) for international travel.
