Role Overview

Kodak is looking for a Quality Technician to join our Digital Print Technology team in Dayton, Ohio

As a Quality Technician (QT) will communicate with external Kodak part and assembly suppliers, so that Kodak manufactured products achieve their quality objectives. Within the Dayton facility, the QT will work with a variety of excellent fellow team members in engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, planning, and inventory control, to facilitate inspection priority, the flow of inventory, and return/disposition of non-conforming material. This position is very much “hands on”, so as the QT, you will utilize a variety of inspection techniques, devices, processes, documents, and manage quality traceability records to help Kodak continue its long tradition of building the world’s finest high speed, and industry leading print quality, continuous inkjet printing solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality Assurance Technician (QT) will have the following primary responsibilities:

• Validate supplier incoming inspection data for conformance

• Help coordinate/schedule daily inspections

• Working with QA team members, manage first article validations, ongoing inspections, and dock-to-stock qualification of incoming materials

• Create, maintain, and close supplier corrective action requests

• Inventory reconciliation from receiving inspection to stockroom

• Communicate with internal team members, and external business partners, to resolve any material quality concern

• Manage non-conforming material reviews and material disposition, return-to-vendor (RTV) with, and material waiver creation.

• Perform basic inspection via visual analysis of materials along with use of “bench” metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, ect.)

• Along with QA leadership, use continuous improvement methods to enhance department procedures and layout/flow (5S approach)

• Help lead Kodak’s internal CLCA program

• Key assistant with ISO 9001:2015 semi-annual audits

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

The following non-prioritized knowledge, skills, and abilities are desired:

• Basic understanding of engineering documents (drawings)

• Demonstrated technical competence

• Moderate mathematical ability

• Limited wiring diagram understanding and ohm meter use desirable

• Strong work ethic

• Self-starter mindset

• Outstanding proficiency with written, verbal, and personal communication

• Familiarity with metrology/inspection tools

• Spreadsheet use and database entry experience

• Exposure to MRP systems, SAP is preferred

• Must have a “Team” approach minset as extreme interaction with fellow internal and external stakeholders’ is a daily requirement

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• An Associates of Science (AS) or Associates of Applied Science (AAS) is desirable

• Consideration given for academic coursework pursued at an accredited college/university and a minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience

• No post high school academic coursework requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience with special consideration given to any candidate with Inkjet printing experience/knowledge.
