Apex Tool Group, LLC Repair Mechanic - Maintenance in Dayton, Ohio
The Blueprint (Role Profile) Apex Tool Group is currently looking for a CNC Machine Mechanic to support our facility in Dayton, OH. The Dayton plant has a diverse product line producing both Aerospace and non-aerospace products. The CNC Machine Mechanic will work on machine repair across the plant on diverse equipment. This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor, He or she will work to ensure limited machine The Build (Responsibilities) Troubleshoot hydraulics, pneumatic and mechanical systems Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from all sources to diagnose equipment problems. Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machines, equipment, and controls. Capable of working under general supervision to maintain, Manufacturing and Facilities Equipment to achieve World Class Efficiency Targets. Conduct Lock Out Tag Out process when necessary and communicate machine status Work on equipment within an area identified as Confined Space. Handling of oils, greases, and other Industrial Waste Materials Ability to document equipment downtime root causes, along with details regarding corrective actions taken to resolve the problem. Ability to use and document all activities in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor or internal resources to research machine issues Identify needed maintenance equipment, parts, and supplies Request the placing and expediting orders for parts and materials relating to maintenance. Perform other job duties as assigned, general facilities maintenance The Toolbox (Qualifications) 3+ years of experience repairing machine tools with & without CNC controls and other highly automated/integrated equipment or associate degree in machine repair. Ability to maintain all types of manufacturing and facility equipment Experience repairing Machine Tools with CNC Controls, both lathes and milling machines. Detailed knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic generation, controls, and actuators. Ability to repair mechanical power transmission devices and gearboxes and precision spindles.
