CITY OF DE PERE DPW Equipment Operator in DE PERE, Wisconsin

The City of De Pere is seeking a DPW Equipment Operator to join our Public Works team. This position will perform work pertaining to the operation of trucks and equipment in the performance of various Public Works construction, maintenance, and operation activities. This work is generally semi-skilled and manual in nature. Full position details are available on the website at www.deperewi.gov/Jobs. The typical work schedule is Monday - Thursday, 6:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. The City of De Pere recognizes the importance of its employees having a proper work-life balance and supports alternative work arrangements (i.e., four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days). In addition, new employees receive three weeks of vacation time and four floating holidays per year beginning on the first day of work (prorated the first year). Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by courses on the operation and maintenance of trucks and light equipment. 2. Two years of experience in the operation of trucks and equipment. 3. Valid unencumbered Wisconsin Class \"B\" Commercial Driver\'s License with air brake restriction lifted and \"N\" (tank vehicle) endorsement and a safe driving record. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Salary: The anticipated starting salary range is \$26.01 - \$28.24 per hour, depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits package. The City of De Pere rewards employees for exceptional work performance with a pay for performance incentive program. Employees may be awarded a salary increase, bonus, or paid time off for exceptional work performance. Employees will be automatically enrolled in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), a pension plan to help provide for financial security during retirement, which consists of employer and employee contributions.
