Estimate, study, plan, and deliver electrical infrastructure for PTME programs. Implement Controls Best Practice with standards, including software systems applications for machine monitoring, quality systems, and gauging systems. Support ETC Subcommittee as required and lead Controls interface, including software applications and OEM integrations. Lead the integration team with GDME, review drawings, support approval requests for deviations/waivers, resolve issues during machine build and installation, and identify power drop requirements for each asset. Troubleshoot and resolve production-related downtime and ensure all software is reviewed for compliance and accuracy. Coordinate Virtual Commissioning of software systems.
Responsibilities
Estimate, study, plan, and deliver electrical infrastructure for PTME programs.
Implement Controls Best Practice with standards, including software systems applications.
Activate Change Control post green PROTAG via CCR/MTC systems.
Support ETC Subcommittee as required.
Lead Controls interface, including software applications and OEM integrations.
Lead integration team with GDME, review drawings, and support approval requests for deviations/waivers.
Resolve issues during machine build and installation.
Support fresh eyes on other current programs.
Identify power drop requirements for each asset and ensure wire size fits the main disconnect.
Troubleshoot and resolve production-related downtime.
Deploy Manufacturing 4.0 strategies and specifications.
Ensure all software is reviewed for structure compliance and accuracy with GDME.
Coordinate Virtual Commissioning of software systems.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree within a technical discipline.
Experience working with Ford Systems.
Interest in controls engineering with strong aptitude to quickly learn and apply controls knowledge.
Direct program experience with assembly and machining controls architectures (hardware/software).
Knowledge of programming principles on Siemens PLC and Motion controls systems.
Hands-on knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC, robot, vision, and other automation issues.
Knowledge of cell machining systems and integration of battery pack controls, gantries, and auxiliary equipment.
Knowledge of assembly and machining RFID systems, including complexity management and QOS strategies.
Knowledge of international electrical/safety standards (UL, ISO, IEC, etc.) and familiarity with internal/external safety processes.
Ability to read and design electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints.
Understanding of communication network architectures and field bus protocols.
Extensive knowledge of PTME IT standard footprint applications such as FIS, QLSM, QWX, GPTS, QDAS, OBL, PDS, etc.
Exposure and knowledge of all program delivery elements from the cost study phase to launch.
Ability to read and modify Core Controls Specifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of cell machining systems and integration of battery pack controls, gantries, and auxiliary equipment.

Work Environment
The work environment involves collaborating with various teams and departments, including GDME and controls engineering. You will work with advanced technologies such as Siemens TIA Portal and oversee the integration of multiple software systems. The role requires troubleshooting and resolving production-related issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and deploying Manufacturing 4.0 strategies. You will also be responsible for reviewing software structures for accuracy and coordinating Virtual Commissioning.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.44 - $46.80/hr.
