Ford Motor Company Feature Strategy Analyst in Dearborn, Michigan

The Portfolio Engineer plays a pivotal role in managing the operations of the team. The portfolio engineer is a steward of the process and enables team members to perform their jobs by ensuring that the proper tools and processes are in place.

The portfolio engineer is a high-touch, high-visibility role and must be able to communicate and collaborate well with engineering, product, and business counterparts. The ideal candidate should be process-minded, organized, and proficient in Jira Product Discovery and Confluence.

What you'll do…

  • Data Analysis: Analyze operations data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in workflows and processes. Process Optimization: Design and recommend process improvements to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity across various departments.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, providing actionable insights to support decision-making.

  • Reporting & Dashboards: Create and maintain operational reports and dashboards to provide visibility into business performance and progress toward strategic goals.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and strategy to implement process changes that improve efficiency.

  • Operational Support: Assist in solving operational issues as they arise, offering data-backed recommendations to mitigate challenges quickly.

  • Moderate cross-functional meetings: Manage topics into and out of important forums. Maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams.

You'll have…

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • 1-2 years of Atlassian tools experience or other project management tool

  • 3-4 years of project management experience

  • Experience at Ford a plus

  • Proficient in Atlassian tools, including Jira, Atlas, and Confluence

  • Power BI

  • Experienced in global project planning and management.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills

  • Independent, initiative-driven, assertive

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Collaborative with cross-functional teams

  • Committed to Ford+ plan implementation.

Even better, you may have…

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent PM certification

  • Experience with SAFe
