The Role Our Engineering Drafter will create and manage the manufacturing/fabrication drawing files of KNIGHT WALL SYSTEMS. This role requires a skilled professional to collaborate with architects and engineers, converting designs into technical plans. Your Duties Prepare CAD drawings for projects from standard templates, blocks and models, based on input from the Project Manager. Work with engineering department on innovative, constructible and manufacturable design concepts and solutions. Address submittal reviewer comments on submittal documentation when applicable to drawings. Create and maintain standard templates, base files, blocks and models of components for fast and easy drawing creation or manipulation. Create fabrication drawings and models for shop floor. Manage drawing files and their organization. Learn and demonstrate an understanding of Division 7 commercial construction. Learn and represent technical data of KWS along with industry related products. Research and stay up-to-date with building codes. Other duties as assigned. Your Experience Degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, Engineering or similar field, or 2-3 years of experience in Drafting or a combination of experience and education. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; AutoCAD, Inventor/Solidworks, 3D Modeling, AutoDesk Revit. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be task oriented with organizational skills in order to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong desire to meet or exceed customer expectations. Prior experience working in construction or manufacturing industry, preferred.
