Job Description:

Job Summary:

Responsible for executing the Company operational plan for all pharmacy services. Develops the strategy to deliver a differentiated healthcare experience for the customer. Responsible for new and existing programs and initiatives including program design, build and delivery to operationalize at all Company store locations. Responsible for improvement of current programs. Ensures that all programs meet designated compliance standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for executing the Company strategy for pharmacy services that anticipates customer needs and leads to an increase in the overall health of the population.

  • Partners with Clinical, GR, Marketing, Pharmacy & Healthcare, Legal, Pharmacy Affairs and additional cross-functional teams to create diagnostic and health testing services and protocols to effectively increase overall health while ensuring programs are quality focused, profitable, and enhance the overall customer experience.

  • Partners with key industry stakeholders to ensure the Company’s status as a best in class provider of pharmacy services. May represent the Company at professional, business, government, and/or civic organizations to ensure that the Company is perceived favorably and as a valued business partner to the healthcare continuum.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for pharmacy services, providing perspectives and insights on current and emerging issues on a global, geographic, and economic level.

  • Assesses the overall performance of existing products and services as it relates to their attainment of key Company metrics and goals, quality and compliance, and revises strategic direction, as needed. Ensures viability of the model and best in class practices are followed to optimize profitability opportunities. Manages operating costs, budget, and supporting P&L activities for testing.

  • Manages and implements pharmacy workflow procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all pharmacy services and ensures successful execution.

  • Manages, executes, and evaluates diagnostic training and information resources including: phone and online support and reference guides.

External Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience in the healthcare industry with strategies within various functions which could include sales, marketing, branding, finance, national accounts, operations, and/or contracting OR a High School diploma/GED and at least 9 years of experience in the healthcare industry with strategies within various functions which could include sales, marketing, branding, finance, national accounts, operations, and/or contracting.

  • At least 5 years of experience developing programs which align with business goals, budgets, and gross/net margin objectives.

  • Experience in developing and deploying operational metrics, identifying positive and negative trends from such data, and designing/implementing corrective actions.

  • Experience collaborating with both internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.

  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.

  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.

  • At least 3 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.

  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
