The state supported living centers serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are medically fragile or who have behavioral problems. The centers provide campus-based direct services and supports at 13 centers located throughout the state. The Clinic Nurse must possess the ability to communicate with members of other disciplines to ensure optimal care for persons served. The Clinic Nurse must possess the ability to communicate information gathered to home facility physicians and staff. The Clinic Nurse must possess knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, nursing techniques and procedures, medications and side effects, adverse reactions and signs of toxicity associated with medications, and knowledge of or ability to learn the techniques of administering medications to developmentally disabled individuals. The Clinic Nurse must possess knowledge of mathematics. The Clinic Nurse must possess the ability to prioritize work and practice time management to ensure timelines are met. Must communicate, verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise manner.
